New meets old

Nib's challenge: New meets old. New: sofa from Bolia, chevron pillow from Modernality2, Marimekko mug and bowl, candlesticks from Helgo, origami vase from Urban analog and a Verner Panton lamp. Art on the wall (that you only see a part of) is by Liv Tandrevold Eriksen. Old: vintage tables, magazine holder and pillows made of vintage kimono fabric.

Yes, I've failed the no-shopping month I planned. I was stupid enough to look at Finn.no, and found this norwegian vintage cabinet at a very reasonable price. I could not resist. I have failed  my no-shopping month project. I haven't shopped anything else this month, but I could not resist this one. I feel like a failure, but at the same time I'm soooo happy with this cabinet. I have been looking for one like this for ages, so it's so typical that I found it now:) Well, I'm not going to shop anything more for awhile now:) Have a wonderful sunday evening! Tomorrow I'll be off to a children-camp for a few days. Have a great week as well!;)

I'm so glad I bought these "City" chairs over 10 years ago for 100 kroner each. They are original Norwegian design from 1954 and was designed by Øivind Iversen. Classic design.

grey & pink

Tonight I'm going to julebord (christmas party) with my colleges. The best colleges in the world! The outfit for tonight is grey with pink details. Love the combination. The black ring is from A Merry Mishap.

I made a Tiramisu for dessert. I love Tiramisu. Not difficult to make, but a hell of a lot mixing and washing up to do afterwords. Don't like:)

I've been looking for a colorful vintage bread box for awhile now, and I finally found it on DACAIS on etsy. Yey! I love the orange color and the 70s design.

My husband inherited this old chair after his mother. I love the old worn-out wooden finish. It's not so good to sit on, but perfect to lay clothes on in our bedroom.

I made a new black pillow for my sofa yesterday. The black fabric is a vintage kimono fabric with flower texture. ( Not so easy to see on the photo though..) The peacock fabric I bought at Grøn Lykke a long time ago. The other pillow is also made of vintage kimono fabric.
