A little late, but here is my monthly favorite blog for december: Sushibird. Whenever I get home sick and miss Japan I look at her beautiful pictures from her life in Japan. But then, I get very hungry:)...and even more home sick:) I love her header on her blog, her illustrations and her photos. Check it out!

I got this rug by Brita Sweden for christmas. Yey!:)

 I'm joining NIB's challenge "Global chic":)

The kimono is a vintage piece from Japan. The pillows are also made of vintage kimono fabric. The grandma blanket is made by my mother in law. On the shelf I have pretty things from Japan, France, China and Danmark. The little poster in the black frame is a vintage JAL poster.

 

My favorite red vintage JAL bag. And the old chair is inherited by my mother in law. A old norwegian chair.

Most of the pillows are made by me from vintage kimono fabric, exept the black and white one from Ikea. A chinese vase and flower bowls on the table are from Japan, also avalible in my shop.

On the shelves I've put things from Japan (obviously:)India, China and Scandinavia and books that inspires me. Things I love:)

 I love japanese things and culture. I grew up in Japan so it's not so surprising:) My whole apartment have many japanese and some chinese things mixed together with our scandinavian style.

The rooms and the furnitures are scandinavian and the details are from Japan, China and Scandianvia for the most. But I like to buy things when I travel and display them in my home.

Details from Ozzy's new dollhouse. I found a secondhand Lundby house on Finn and I've painted some of the walls white. Most of the furniture's are vintage from etsy. I need to replace the rug, but otherwise I like it:)

Today is my birthday:)

Yes, both Ozzy and I have birthdays between Christmas and New Year. So many celebrations:)

 

actually too many...I'm overwhelmed. We're taking it slow today, but some good food and family and I'm happy:) The celebration will have to wait until january:)
